CLC’s annual Trunk or Treat event will take place today, at 5:00 PM rain or shine. If it is raining, we will hand out treats in the narthex. Our preschool children and CLC members are invited to take part in the event, neighbors and friends are welcome as well. Congregation members are encouraged to come in costume. After a great turnout last year, we’re expecting a big crowd again, so the more people, the better!
The CLC Book Club will meet on Monday, Nov. 2nd at 7:00 PM at Virginia Worley's home (3816 Martha Lane, Dallas 75229), We will discuss “American Ghost: a Family's Haunted Past in the Desert Southwest” by Hannah Nordhaus. We welcome everyone and it is NOT necessary to have read the book. There will be enough discussion for everyone. Bishop’s Convocation: October 26th - 28th At the end of this October the NTNL Mission Area is presenting a Bishops Convocation with Elizabeth Eaton, the Presiding Bishop of the ELCA. Bishop Eaton will talk about who we are as Lutheran Church today, what this means for us in regard of social issues and also about how the new NTNL Bishop will be elected. The worship will be held in German. A celebration of beer and brats will take place immediately following the worship service.
