CDC NewsThe babies are here! After months of planning and preparation, we were so excited to welcome our doors to new infant families just a few weeks ago. It’s the favorite room in which to get a moment of inspiration or respite in a work day!
Already we have been filled with delight watching Camille learning to push herself up on her hands and feet, Connor jumping joyfully in the play saucer, Parker and Harper crawling up and over everything, Madison playing patty-cake and Eli, our youngest, cuddling with our teachers. Amazing! Everything they do is just amazing!
And so with joy in our hearts we turn to another baby, our Lord Jesus, who also cuddled and crawled, jumped and smiled. Mary and Joseph must have shared many of the same wonderful moments we have with our babies each day, moments of joy as we discover how they grow and change and develop new each day. Imagine his first smile, his first steps, his first words, the first hints of his personality! Amazing!
It is this that we celebrate this Christmas season – the knowledge that God sent his son Jesus not just to be our Savior, but to be human with us – to live as we live, to breathe as we breathe. This knowledge gives us comfort that Christ knows us and knows us well. He has lived with us and grown with us – as a baby, a child, a teen, and an adult. Amazing!
