It is a new year and once again time to think about helping a cause that directly saves lives. Carter Bloodcare is sending its Bloodmobile to us for 4 dates this year: March 2nd, June 8th, September 7th, November 9th.

The times will be the same as before (8:30 am to 12:30 pm) and the location will be the same (the church parking lot). Also, as before, we will award a "Gift for Givers" gift basket to a donor whose name is drawn the following week during the church service.

Our donorship was down somewhat in 2007. We hope that all of our long time donors and some, hopefully, first time donors will help increase our numbers for 2008. If you cannot donate on the times listed, you can give at a Carter Bloodcare donation site. For a list, see the church’s website (http://www.clcdallas.org click on "ministries", then "outreach") or go to Carter’s website (http://www.carterbloodcare.org). If you donate at an outside location, please use the church’s sponsor number which is "spon030328". Remember, you can donate every 56 days.

We hope that you are able to give because that blood supply is always in need. One donation can save THREE lives! Speaking as one who was once the beneficiary of a donor(s) generosity, I must point out that you might not be reading this article right now had that generosity not existed.
