Faith Stepping StonesA Model for Family Ministry As we strive to better meet the needs of families in the midst of our educational ministries, we are currently planning to implement a Stepping Stones model for family ministry. Stepping Stones are highlighted times in a child’s life that we as a church can use to bless, gift, and teach families together. It is our goal through this model to be, as the church, as resource to equip parents to face the issues within their families in a faithful way, to provide some tools for successful parenting, and to help parents enrich the lives of their children by bringing faith education into the home. Faith Stepping Stones acknowledge each child as a unique and beloved child of God. As a congregation we can recognize this uniqueness, bless each child within their family, and call the parents back to the promises made at baptism. General Schedule (Please contact us for details and more information) Remembering Baptism (Parents of newly baptized infants) held in January Stepping into Sunday School (Parents of Preschoolers) held mid to late September First Bibles (2nd and 3rd graders and their parents) held in late August to Early September First Communion (10-year olds and their parents) held during the season of Lent (Feb. or Mar.)
