Book Club, Women’s Circles, Bible Study, and pennies....See what is planned for October! Annually, in November, CLCW sends in our “Pennies for Women & Children in Crisis” contribution. Last year, our contribution was $168, and our contribution was $203 the year before. With one more month remaining, let’s make a difference, and increase our current balance of $137 to meet or succeed prior years’ contributions. Book Club ~ Monday, October 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Amanda Earnshaw (8939 Santa Clara Drive, Dallas), to discuss “Fallen” by David Maine. Deborah Circle ~ Tuesday, October 9th at 9:30 am at the home of Barbara Orsak (2800 Hunters Creek, Plano). Denise Bradshaw will lead the Bible study which is entitled “A Study of the Life of Jesus Christ”. For this month, the study will focus on “Jesus Educates His Disciples” from Matthew 13. Dorcas Circle ~ Monday, October 8th at 9:30 am. Location to be announced – please check the bulletin. We will be using the Bible Study from Lutheran Women Today. Hannah Circle ~ Thursday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. in the upstairs meeting room to discuss Chapter 2 from our book, “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World: Finding Intimacy with God in the Busyness of Life” (Revised Edition with New Bible Study) by Joanna Weaver. Adrienne Knutson will lead the discussion. BYOCoffee! Lydia Circle ~ Please check the bulletin for date and location of this month’s gathering. The gathering will either be the 3rd or 4th Tuesday of October.
