I’m not exactly sure where this summer went but one thing I know for certain is that fall is just around the corner! Can you believe it?! The children are back to school and routines are beginning to set in. Along with that is the church calendar “gearing up!” Circles are jumping into fall with new studies.

Come visit the Christ Lutheran Church Women (CLCW) table at Rally Day (Sept. 14 between services) to learn more about the many circle and fellowship opportunities. We also invite ALL WOMEN to the Fall Bible Study on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the church. Lunch will be provided as well as childcare. There will be a study of Psalms 22 and 23 in addition to fellowship and learning more about the activities of the women of Christ Lutheran Church.

A Look at the Circle Meeting Schedules:

 
• CLCW Board ~ Will meet Sunday, October 5th following 2nd service in room “N” in the new building.
 
• Wednesday Morning Bible Study ~ Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. in room “N” in the new building.
 
• Dorcas Circle ~ Meets the first Monday of the month. They will resume their meetings on Monday, September 8th.
 
• Deborah Circle ~ Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 A.M. in room “N”.
 
• Hannah Circle ~ Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10 A.M. in room “N”. Their next study is "THE GOSPEL OF RUTH: Loving God Enough to Break the Rules" by Carolyn Custis James. It is available at Logo’s and also on Amazon (hardback $11.55). The author has an MA in Biblical Studies and is a popular speaker at women’s conferences, churches, and other Christian organizations. For their September 11th meeting read everything up to Chap. 1 (text, introduction and discussion questions).
 
• Lydia Circle ~ Meets the 4th Monday of every month at 7 P.M. in room “N”.
 
• Book Club ~ Meets the first Monday of every month at 7 P.M. in members’ homes. The September host is Madge Earnshaw.

The DEBORAH CIRCLE will meet on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Dot Splawn at 7126 Chipperton, Dallas, TX 75225. Denise Bradshaw will lead the Bible Study of Matthew 19-20, a study entitled Spiritual Renovation: Jesus Changes People. The meeting will begin with light refreshments at 9:30 a.m., followed by a business meeting, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Bible Study, beginning at 10:30 a.m. We welcome all women of the church to join us! HANNAH CIRCLE will be meeting Thursday, September 11th at 10:00 AM in Room N. We will be beginning our study of THE GOSPEL OF RUTH: Loving God Enough to Break the Rules by Carolyn Custis James. The discussion will be led by Gina Collins. The next meeting will be Thursday October 9 with the discussion led by Rachel Schulze. HANNAH CIRCLE meets on the second Thursday of each month. Our purpose is to come together as women, as daughters and as friends, to study the Word and to provide fellowship and opportunities for stewardship and outreach ministry. The M&Ms is a group that enjoys service projects, social events, and learning! All women are invited to join the M&M’s on Monday, September 15 at 7 pm for our planning meeting. We will meet at the home of Barb Wendling. A light dinner and drinks will be served as we discuss our plans for the next year. Bring your ideas for books, activities, service projects, or social events. Also bring your calendar! Hope to see you!
