Christ Lutheran Church Music Director Chuck Blanchard writes Music Notes & More on a monthly basis.

What a fabulous fall we have had, and it has been especially wonderful with the successful launch of "The Bridge." You all have made this such a great success with fellowship, family dinner, Bible studies, confirmation, worship, and yes, Wednesday night music.

We have had four new members join our Sanctuary Choir, and we are grateful for their willingness to share their musical talents with us. Heather Hartman, Samantha and Andrew Higgs and Lena Zies have all joined with us in music. "Let us Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord!"

We are now entering my favorite time of the year - the Holiday Season. We start to get ready for the great Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts. Family and friends visit, and we simply give thanks to God and enjoy one another.

Speaking of that wonderful time, there will be plenty of time for worship celebrations. On November 9, we will celebrate our Thankoffering service, led by the women of the church. Ann Stordahl will be our organist. Then, we come to praise God as we celebrate Christ the King Sunday on November 16 and our special Thanksgiving Service on November 23.

As always, we are looking for new members to further enhance the beautiful music we make together. To join our Sanctuary Choir, come to rehearsals held each Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. THen stay for our Evening Prayer service. To join our Sanctuary Bell Choir, come to rehearsals held each Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 p.m. If you have other musical talents that you would like to share with the church, contact me after any service or call the church office to make rehearsal arrangements.
