The Mt. Olive Food Pantry, operated out of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, serves as an emergency food source for families facing a variety of crises as well as the homeless. Christ Lutheran Church collects non-perishable items the FIRST SUNDAY of every month for the Mt. Olive Food Pantry.

In the first quarter of the 20th century, Nebraska Lutherans in Axtell and Sterling built Bethphage and Martin Luther Homes from the ground up so that people with disabilities would have opportunities to realize their potential. In 2003, these organizations consolidated, forming Mosaic, to continue serving a common mission in the lives of people with disabilities across the United States and throughout the world.

In the Christ Lutheran vision statement we are, “A community of faith, reaching out to change lives.” There is no better way to make this happen tangibly than the giving of our very own blood. The staff at Carter Bloodcare gives us this opportunity a total of 4 times a year when their bloodmobile visits our church. Our responses to their blood drives have always been good.
