Vacation Bible School 2019Monday, June 3 – Thursday, June 6, 5:30 PM nightly
VBS is right around the corner! The year’s theme is “Roar”. This epic African adventure engages the whole herd. At Roar, kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life. All children are welcome to come for a fun night during the summer to sing songs, crafts and explore bible stories in depth. |

Our Children's Ministry endeavors to share God's love with our toddlers up through elementary-aged children. We offer weekly Faith Formation classes, which include a Bible story, music time and classroom time.
In addition to Sunday education, we also have child-friendly annual events such as Spring Fling, a carnival and lunch on the church grounds; Vacation Bible School; summer art classes; Trunk or Treat and a children's Christmas program. |
Children's Ministries:
Youth Faith Formation classes are available for children of all ages. On Sunday mornings, all of the children meet together for an opening session in which they learn about the education topic for the day and sing fun songs. Then, they break up into smaller classes by age.
The Littlest Lutherans is a Faith Formation class for children ages 0-3 and their parents. They join the older children for the opening session and then gather separately for an age-appropriate lesson and playtime.

EASTER EGG HUNT: Sunday, April 14, 9:45 AM, During Sunday School Hour, the front lawn will be covered in eggs for the children to hunt! Bring your own Easter baskets and invite all of your friends and neighbors for this great fellowship activity.

SPRING FLING is an annual picnic and carnival held on our church lawn after Sunday worship. Children and adults alike enjoy lunch and snacks as well as fun activities such as bounce houses, a petting zoo, crafts, gardening and raffle games. Spring Fling brings together children and families from our church, preschool and neighborhood for an afternoon of Christian fellowship.
Sunday, May 5th, 12:00 PM, Following the 11:00 AM service, The community is invited to celebrate Spring with Christ Lutheran Church and Preschool. Bouncy houses, food, petting zoo - all are welcome! |

TRUNK OR TREAT is a fun alternative to traditional Trick-or-Treating and a great way for the members of Christ Lutheran to minister to our own children and families as well as those of our community. CLC members dress in costumes and offer candy from the trunks of their cars. And children from the church, preschool and neighborhood come to show off their Halloween attire and fill their bags with candy.

Faith Milestones are particular occasions for our children to grow in their faith with the support of family and our congregation. The Christian home is a place where faith is nurtured and passed on. The goal of Christ Lutheran Church, as a loving community of faith, is to support families in their efforts to nurture faith in the home, and in turn, as part of our church family. Faith Milestones are marked in the following way:
We come together--parents, children and pastors--to learn and celebrate.
We name the milestone.
We offer a blessing and a special token of remembrance during worship.
We provide tools that uplift and support the milestone.
The Milestones that our children celebrate include: Introducing Jesus & the Bible, Prayer Pillows, Blessing of the Backpacks, The Lord's Prayer, The Ten Commandments, Noah's Ark, First Communion, Guardian Angels and Martin Luther 101. Older youth also have the Confirmation and Graduating Seniors milestones.
