Make plans now to attend our 2015 Vacation Bible School, taking place June 8-11 from 5:30 to 8:20 p.m. With the theme Everest: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power, this year’s VBS promises to be a time of learning, playing and growing in faith. Children ages 3 to 11 are invited to join us for dinner, Bible stories, music, crafts and more! To register, click below to fill out the registration form. Then send it to jpecht@clcdallas.org or drop it by the church office.
On Sunday, May 3, we will once again lift up and celebrate our Preschool and its teachers/staff at 11:00 worship. Afterward, from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m., we will have our annual Spring Fling on the church lawn. In addition to our preschool families, we’re also inviting Mosaic residents and LSSS families to participate in the festivities. Join us for a hot dog lunch, games, face painting, music, a petting zoo, crafts, and more! Easter Sunday—He Is Risen! We are offering four opportunities to worship the Risen Lord on Easter this year. We will begin the day with a Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. outside on the patio (weather permitting). Then we will have our traditional worship services at 8:30 & 11 a.m. Our last worship service on Easter Sunday is a new offering for us—a German Easter service, with music, liturgy, and preaching all in German. Led by Vicars Michael and Katharina, this service will take place at 5 p.m. at CLC, and we hope it will become a favorite new tradition for our members and the community. Easter Breakfast...Once again, our youth will prepare a breakfast feast for Easter Sunday. The meal, which helps to fund summer mission trips for the youth program, will be served after sunrise worship and between 8:30 and 11:00 worship. Please join us for a special meal! Maundy Thursday worship—April 2, 6:45 p.m. We will commemorate Jesus’ last supper with his disciples in the solemn act of stripping the altar. We will also celebrate First Communion for two of our youth. Good Friday worship—April 3, 6:45 p.m. This service will feature our Sanctuary Choir performing a moving Lenten Cantata titled Touched by the Christ, by Lloyd Larson. |
