“Beautiful music…is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us” said Martin Luther.
In worship, we encounter the living God in the words of Scripture and in the Sacraments. Through worship, we give praise to God, we are built up in our relationship with God, we are strengthened in community and in service to the world. We follow the historic and global shape of the liturgy, with variations for the season and audience. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday. Most of our worship services follow the traditional Lutheran form of the Christian liturgy, supported by organ and piano from the balcony, with a wide range of musical contributions that reflect the diverse talents of our members. We draw inspiration from many times and places, from the ancient world to modern worship music and from all around the world. We love having children in worship! Little voices (whether happy or cranky) are welcome in our services. The narthex and a lounge are available when kids (or parents) need a break. To get a better idea of what our worship services are like, check out the services and sermons on our YouTube page. |
