Mission: “To follow Christ’s directives to feed the hungry.”
Mt. Olive Food Pantry continues to provide food and inspiration for those in need, and many caring people are making a difference.
Food Pantry Groceries: This month’s items are peanut butter, jelly, sugar (2-pound bag), and hamburger helper.
Clothing: Men’s and women’s gently used and new t-shirts, shorts, pants, socks, shoes, and underwear (new only) are needed year-round with a special need for men’s clothing and shoes.
Hygiene items: Shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste (in large sizes), as well as large-tooth combs, razors, and lotion (small-size), are all needed.
Your gifts may be placed in the red wagon in the Narthex.
Blessing Bags: Enjoy serving others? Join us as we pack and distribute Blessing Bags every Wednesday and Saturday at the church, at 3100 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Dress for work and the weather, and be ready to make new friends! Volunteer slots are open again in the Fall when Jesuit Prep student volunteers return to school.
